Recommendation: Batu Caves and Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumper
Route overview: Penang -> Kuala Lumpur -> Malacca
From Southern Thailand, I took a 5-hour bus ride to Hat Yai, Malaysia where I stayed for one night as a transition. Followed by a 7-hour bus ride from Hat Yai to Penang, Malaysia where I continued by travels in Malaysia.
Penang (2 nights)
- Walk around Georgetown to see Street Art
- Eat in Little India District
7-hour bus ride to Kuala Lumper ($12)
Kuala Lumper (3 nights)
- Batu Caves (used Grab Taxi to get there)
- Petronas towers
- Eco forest park (mini forest with suspension bridges in the city)
- Sky Bar for great views and drinks
2-hour bus ride to Malacca ($3)
Malacca (2 nights)
- Walk Jonder Street
- Explore Chinatown
Malacca was my last stop in Malaysia. From there, I got on a bus at Central Station and took a 6-hour journey to Singapore to continue my travels through SE Asia.
